I am really glad you found my blog. Hopefully you can learn from my experiences and improve your vertical jump in less time than it took me.
Brandon Patterson here. If I’m being honest, I started not to do this page. The improvement in my vertical jump was so profound I didn’t want to share this information with anyone. I eventually realized I was being selfish and my parents raised me better than that. Like many athletes and basketball players, I spent a lot of time trying to improve my vertical jump. It’s no secret that improving your vertical jump can help improve your overall game, as well as help you dunk better!
First I tried Jump Shoes
These are those things you put on your feet and wear to help increase your vertical jump. I tried these for about a month, but they didn’t help much. The problem is they only focus on one muscle group. To increase your vertical jump, you have to focus on several muscle groups. Also, my feet and legs were always sore (Not in a good way) after I wore these shoes. Not to mention their very expensive.
Then I tried diet supplements
I also tried diet supplements to help improve my vertical. I already work out, so I figured if I added this to my regimen, it would improve my overall strength and that would increase my vertical. Well, this didn’t work either. I will say the supplements improved my overall strength, but my vertical remained the same.
Finally I found something that worked
Being 6 foot 2, and after trying for over a year and not improving my vertical jump by a good amount, I started looking for information on the internet and trying different techniques and strategies. I finally found a book called The Jump Manual. After reading the book, I was amazed at all the things I didn’t know! There is so much that goes into increasing your vertical jump that I didn’t even know about.
